UPSC S.O. (Section Officer)/Steno (Grade B/Grade I) Examination 2017


The UPSC or Union Public Service Commission is a central agency approved by the government of India for conducting several prestigious exams like SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice), NA (Naval Academy Exam), IFS (Indian Forest Services), IES (Indian Economic Services), NDA (National Defense Academy), CMSE (Combined Medical Services Examination), CSE (Civil Services Examination), ESE (Engineering Services Examination), and CDS (Combined Defense Services).




The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently issued a notification regarding the conduction of Combined Ltd. Departmental Competitive Exam for the post of S.O (Section Officer)/Steno (Grade B/Grade I). Eligible Candidates can apply for the Examination by filling the UPSC online application form on or before 7th October 2017.

UPSC SO (Section Officer)/Steno (Grade B/Grade I) Exam 2017 – Eligibility Criteria:

Only certain section of Candidates employed as Stenographers (Assistants) Grade 2 / Grade C of these services or as Cypher Assistants Grade 2 of Cypher Sub-cadre of the IFS (Indian Foreign Services) Branch B is eligible to apply.

 

Selection Procedure:

The Selection will be done entirely on the basis of performance in the written Examination followed by a Personal Interview.

Application Procedure:

  • The applicants can apply online form UPSC official website (www.upsc.gov.in).
  • Under UPSC online application, select “Online Recruitment Application For Various Recruitment Posts”.
  • After registering, Login to fill the online application form.
  • Submit the application form and send the hard copy with the required documents to the postal address which is mentioned in the official notification.

Revise at least twice before the exam and strengthen your basics by solving several test papers, get familiarise with the syllabus and formulate a proper study plan. By going through newspapers or magazines regularly, you will be updated with the knowledge on topics important for the UPSC preparation like current affairs, economics and so on.
